Macarena es fotógrafa e investigadora en temas de Ciudad y Arquitectura Sostenible. Su trabajo artístico se centra en investigar la relación entre la fotografía y otros medios como herramienta urbana, de sensibilización y reconexión con la naturaleza, desde el firme propósito de promover el cambio. Contempla el arte y la arquitectura como disciplinas que pueden ayudar a alcanzar una conciencia mayor y reconectar con lo esencial. La relación entre naturaleza, arquitectura, paisaje y mística, siempre está presente en su trabajo.
Es miembro desde junio 2021 del ZzaC Collective of experts, practitioners and theorists, Asistente Honorífico Dpto. Urbanismo y Ordenación del Territorio Universidad de Sevilla y forma parte del proyecto de investigación CREAFAB de la Universidad de Sevilla. Su trabajo esta presente en colecciones privadas nacionales e internacionales y ha sido recientemente seleccionada como finalista del PREMIO ENAIRE 2023, por lo que formará parte del Festival Internacional Photo España PH24.
Macarena Gross Ariza is a photographer and researcher. MA in ‘City and Sustainable Architecture’ (Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Sevilla), MA in Professional Photography (EFTI, Madrid). Her artistic work focuses on investigating the relationship between photography and other artistic media as an urban and awareness tool. The relationship between nature, architecture, landscape, environment and mysticism are among the themes she is interested in. Forever in search of the new role of photography in contemporary art, her images arise from the intersection of different media.
She is member since June 2021 of ZzaC Collective of experts, practitioners and theorists, Honorific assistant at The Urban Planning Department of the University of Seville and belongs to the research group Crea Fab (US). Macarena´s work is present in national and international private collectionss, she has recently been selected as a finalist for the ENAIRE 2023 AWARD and will form part of the international photography festival PHotoEspaña PH23.
